Udaipur history
Udaipur also called Mewar. Mewar was established in 530 AD and Chittorgarh was its first capital. Later it was eventually known mainly by its new capital, Udaipur. For hundreds of years, the rule of Rajputs was ruled by Gahlaut and Sisodia kings ruled for 1200 years. When Udaipur State Udaipur City joined the Indian Union in 1949, it was ruled by Kshatriya Rajput and Sisodia dynasty of the Mori- Gehlot family for 1400 years.
Udaipur is a city and tourist place of Rajasthan which is famous for its history, culture and its famous places of worship. It was established by Maharana Uday Singh in 1559. Due to its lakes, this city is also known as 'City of Lakes.’
From the 8th to the 16th century on Mewar, the descendants of Bappa Rawal ruled invincible and since then this state is known as Mewar. Queen Padmini was also famous for her smart brain and beauty. It is said that in order to get a glimpse of her, Sultan Allauddin Khilji of Delhi was attacked in 1303 AD on this fort. After this, his desire was taken to the Queen. But this could not be possible. Because the Queen Padmini, following all the queens and all the women, under the rule of Kshatriya Dharma, jumped into one burning fire which is known by the world famous "Rani Padmini Jauhar", and Allauddin Khilji could not even touch Queen Padmini.

City Palace Udaipur
City Palace is a famous place in Udaipur, City Palace was built by Maharana Uday Singh in 1559 AD. The future rulers of Udaipur add more palace in city palace. In order to reach the City Palace Udaipur will first reach the "Haathi Pole" later "Big Pole" and finally "Tripoliya Gate", which was built in 1725 AD. City Palace Udaipur is a famous place near Pichola lake. This chowk was given the name of Moore Chowk because of Neel Mantelwork.
When circumstances were not right, Maharana used to meet his people in Suraj Pokhara. City Palace has now turned Udaipur into a museum. In which there is a large variety of artwork kept. At the bottom of the door is the Arsenal Museum which contains a lot of deadly tools(weapons) used during the war. Here the history of the famous Maharana Pratap's deadly double-edged sword is also kept.
Now the City Palace is the Ganesh gate in Udaipur. This place is a royal courtyard where the Maharana of Udaipur used to discuss the state with famous people like Rishi Muni. All rooms at the City Palace of Udaipur are decorated with very beautiful artwork and paintings. The magnificent palace has a lot of artwork, and Krishna Vilas is a collection of miniature paintings.
The work of glass in Moti Mahal is incomparable and in the Chini palace, there is a lavish floor tile embedded in it. In the form of a symbol of the Sisodiya Sun Dynasty, built with a huge jewel in Sun Chaupad was formed, so that Mewar dynasty was concerned. To see the beautiful view of the city here is the Baadi palace. Janaana Mahal, which opens in Lakshmi Chowk in the white courtyard, is a very beautiful artwork.

Lake Palace Udaipur is a luxury hotel with 83 beautiful rooms in this magnificent palace made of marble facades. Lake Palace Udaipur is an island made on Lake Pichola, which is spread over 4 acres of its own. In India and the world's most romantic place, Lake Palace Udaipur is counted. This is the first luxury hotel in Udaipur, which was changed from the decision of Maharana Bhagwant Singh into the hotel and the American designer designed this hotel. In 1971, when the management of this hotel came to Taj Hotels Group, then 75 rooms were constructed in Lake Palace, Udaipur and after that, there was further change in 2000. Lake Palace Udaipur has been used to make a lot of films, here in 1959,‘’The Tiger of Eschnapur’’ and’’ The Indian Tomb’’ movie was shot. In 1983, the Water Palace of Lake Palace Udaipur has been used as part of the James Bond film’’ Octopussy’’. In 1984 the British TV series ‘The Jewel in the Crown’ was filmed as the guest house of Nawab of this Miraat. Talking about the Indian film industry, the "Yadein" movie is filmed here first, which was the film of Subhash Ghai and star casting was Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. Filmed ’’The Fall’’ film in 2006 and in 2013, some part of "Ye Jawani Hai Diwani" has been shot here.

Jag Mandir Udaipur
Jag Mandir Udaipur is a beautiful palace which is located in the south direction of Pichola Lake. The castle here is the 3rd floor. Jag Mandir Udaipur was started by Maharana Amar Singh in 1551 AD and Maharana Karan Singh kept its work continuous, which was completed by Maharana Jagat Singh (1628-1652). So this reason it is known as Jagat Mandir or Jag Mandir or Jag Mahal. Rana Karan Singh was ruled by 1620-28 AD. When Shahjahan [Khurram] revolted against his father Jahangir for the crown, he took refuge in Rana Karan Singh of Udaipur.
Khurram along with his wife and two sons had also come. He was first kept in the City Mahal, but later, in fear of the people, he was kept in Jagmandir Udaipur. When the construction of Jag Mandir Udaipur was in progress. The Mughal Emperor Shahjahan had dreamed of constructing a Taj Mahal while staying here between 1623 and 1624. After the death of Rana Karna Singh, the construction of Jag Mahal Udaipur was completed.
Gul Mahal is the main center for the attraction of Jag Mandir in which the family of Shahjahan was lived here, hence the construction of this palace was made according to Muslim architecture. A mosque was built in this palace only for Shahjahan. The courtyard of this palace is the center of major shock in which black-white tiles have been used.
The stone(Patthar) palace, the Kuwar pada palace, and the Janana Mahal are also famous for their beauty. The palace of the big stone is made up of 12 marvel’s pole, and the Janana Mahal was the place of the queen living. In the Jag Mandir garden, there are palm trees, roses, and jasmine etc. In the Jag Mandir, you will also find a museum which will get information about the history of the palace. The idol of eight elephants has remained around this palace. Jagmandir is visited by Udaipur only by boat. The scene of James Bond's film Octopussy has been shot in Jag Mandir Udaipur. Jag Mandir is a very beautiful tourist spot for tourists visiting Udaipur.

Shaheliyo ki Baari
The main garden of Udaipur and famous tourist destination is 'Saheliyo ki Bari’. In this garden, there are lotus flowers, fountains and marble elephants. This garden was constructed by Rana Sangram Singh in 1710- 1734 AD for the royal women. There is also a small museum here. ‘Saheliyon Ki Bari’ was built for the royal queen and her 48 buddies. ‘Saheliyo ki bari’ is spread in the filling area of Fateh Sagar lake in the foothills of the elephant. All the fountains are interconnected and everyone has created their own sound.
According to the prevalent legend, the King gave the gift to his Queen to the ‘Saheliyo ki bari’, but in fact, the queen came to marry with her 48 maidens. For all of them, this palace was built and one of the reasons was that to keep the queen away from the political conspirator, the ‘Saheliyo ki bari’ was used for the restoration of the royal women. That is why this garden was named after the ‘Saheliyo ki Bari’.
‘Saheliyo ki Bari’ has many water ponds in which there are several fountains which have many lotus flowers. The green lawns, flowers, and marble pavilions enhance the beauty of the garden.
Maharana Bhupal Singh liked the 'Saheliyo ki bari' so he made a dome of the rain shower and a dancing dancer effigies here. These fountains were earmarked from England, which you can see in the main reservoir in the garden. The ‘Saheliyo ki bari’ is around four gardens made of black marble and surrounded by a white marble dome with an idol of flying birds, and the bird's beak is showing water coming out. There is a huge museum on which a large number of things of the royal family has been collected. There are many old paintings of past periods in this museum. Snacks and other animals have been placed in the glass in the turn of the palace. The place here is very charming for nature lovers, so if you are the nature lover, you should definitely come back to ‘Saheliyo ki bari’ Udaipur.

Moti Magri Udaipur
Moti Magri is a statue of Maharana Pratap, made with his horse Chetak. Moti Magari is situated on the banks of Fateh Sagar lake. The statue of Maharana Pratap was built by Maharana Bhagwant Singh. The leader of Bheels who had helped Maharana Pratap in the battle of Haldighati, his fable statue is also on Moti Magri.
Moti Mahal, near the statue of Maharana Pratap, was built by Uday Singh II, who first came to Udaipur. Maharana Uday Singh second had built the Moti Mahal in the joy of the birth of Maharana Pratap. The light show is done every evening in the Moti Mahal, in which is describe the vast history of Mewar of 1200 years.
The war of Haldi Ghati on Moti Magri has been depicted on the dome beneath the statue of Maharana Pratap. The statue of the brave patriot Bhamashah, who donated his wealth to the warrior at the time of the battle of the Haldi valley, is also here. In recent days, a museum has been built on Moti Magri, a model of Haldighati warfare sampling in Moti Magari Museum, Udaipur, a sample of Chittoor Castle and many other old paintings is available.

Mansoon Palace (Sajjangarh fort)
Sajjangarh Fort of Udaipur is the fort at Udaipur's largest height. Sajjangarh Fort Udaipur is about 3100 feet tall from the sea level. Which was specially designed to see the monsoon clouds.
